The Water College provides a variety of courses to best meet the needs of your utility and personnel. Water College Courses are generally three hours a week for a minimum of twelve weeks. This is flexible and can be adjusted to meet the needs of your organization.

The following Water College courses are offered at a location near you:

Requirements for Successful Water College Course Completion

The Water College is an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) authorized provider. The California Department of Health Services and Nevada Bureau of Health Services accept Water College courses. All of the requirements must be met in order to qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEU’S). No pass grades are not eligible for any CEU credits. Failure to follow any of these requirements will result in a NO PASS grade.

  • Each student must sign in and sign out on the attendance form provided, each time class meets. Proper identification is required.
  • Attendance is mandatory.
  • The work each student performs must be his/her own. No cheating.
  • Each student must successfully demonstrate their understanding of the material and information covered in each course through a final exam, with a score of at least 70%.
  • In order to successfully complete this course of instruction, a Course Evaluation Form MUST be completed.
  • Homework assignments are part of the learning experience. Homework participation improves the student’s standing at the end of each course.
  • Class participation is strongly encouraged.
  • The California Nevada Section, American Water Works Association has a strict confidentiality policy. Information about each student is not shared unless a current Consent to Release Information Form is completed and an original signature is available.
  • Threatening, inappropriate or abusive behavior toward any instructor, fellow student or CA-NV-AWWA staff member will not be tolerated. Any student exhibitory behavior of this kind will immediately be dismissed and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
