Water Quality Workshop

Member $195 / Non-member $295 Prerequisite: High School diploma and/or General Educational Development (GED). Basic concept of drinking water treatment. The objective of the Water Quality workshop is to provide attendees with a general but complete overview of water quality aspects that pertain to drinking water quality. The workshop begins an introduction on source water types, followed by a review of the key physical, chemical and microbial water quality parameters, including background information, definitions, characteristics, removal or control, and monitoring. The workshop also presents an overview on disinfectants/oxidants and disinfection by-products. It ends with a selection of water quality issues specific to distribution systems, i.e., microbial regrowth, nitrification, and corrosion. As appropriate, each section will be completed with tools and a list of references for additional reading. This class is 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Earn up to 8 contact hours.

Requests for refunds and transfers must be made in writing and are subject to the following conditions: Full refund of fee paid (minus 25% handling fee) will be issued for cancellations received more than 15 days prior to class start date. All fees are non-refundable thereafter. Transfers are based on availability. No transfer requests will be authorized if they are not received more than 15 days prior to class start date. A 100% refund or credit of your registration fee will be issued if a class is canceled by the Section.
