Drinking Regulations Workshop

Member $90 / Non-member $145 The objective of the Drinking Water Regulations workshop is to provide attendees with an overview of drinking water regulations. The workshop cover both regulatory efforts: at the Federal level and in the State of California & includes both current and upcoming regulations. The workshop begins with definitions, then introduces the potential health effects that may results from water contaminants & presents the regulatory agencies involved. The workshop continues with an explanation of the regulatory processes, including the Unregulated Contaminants Monitoring Program & Contaminant Candidate Lists. The main drinking water regulations are then discussed. Following a discussion on public notification & reporting, the workshop briefly addresses the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) & Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL), as well as backflow prevention & cross connection control. This class is 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Earn up to 4 contact hours

Requests for refunds and transfers must be made in writing and are subject to the following conditions: Full refund of fee paid (minus 25% handling fee) will be issued for cancellations received more than 15 days prior to class start date. All fees are non-refundable thereafter. Transfers are based on availability. No transfer requests will be authorized if they are not received more than 15 days prior to class start date. A 100% refund or credit of your registration fee will be issued if a class is canceled by the Section.
