- How do I become a member of AWWA and the California-Nevada Section?

- Choose which type of membership you wish to obtain.
- Complete the appropriate application. Make sure you select "California-Nevada"
as your desired section.
- Make membership fee payable to AWWA.
- Mail completed application with application membership fees to:

- Does my AWWA membership include membership in the Section?
Yes. On your membership application, please specify which Section you would like to be a
member of.
- Who qualifies for AWWA membership?
Anyone involved in the Water Industry.
- How much does it cost to join AWWA?
$99.00 for individual membership (plus $15 Section assessment).
$32.00 for student membership (plus $15 Section assessment).
$50.00 for operators membership (plus $15 Section assessment). Organization & utility
membership prices vary, depending upon the class they choose.

- Why is there a Section assessment of $15?
In 2000, the Section membership voted to approve a dues assessment of $15 to help maintain
vital Section services such as educational programs, certification and conferences.
- Do I receive any publications with membership?
- AWWA Journal (Additional Subscription) - The world's leading technical
publication on drinking water issues.
- Opflow - A monthly newsletter delivering how-to articles and instructional
features on all aspects of water system materials, construction, management, operations,
and maintanence.
- MainStream - A monthly newspaper featuring news of the water industry, member
achievements, and conferences.
- Source - The California-Nevada Section's quarterly publication, as well as all
other Section mailings.
- Do I receive discounts on AWWA and California-Nevada Section events?
Yes. Refer to the Section Calendar of Events, or Contact
the Section office for a list of events, prices and registration information.
- Will I receive confirmation when I register for Section educational events?
Yes, if we receive your registration by the pre-registration deadline, we will send a
confirmation letter and payment information in the mail. If we receive your registration
after the pre-registration deadline, we will mail or fax your confirmation upon
request, only.
- How do I update my mailing information?
Although we like to help you here at the Section office, AWWA requires members to contact
them directly. Contact the Member and Section Services at AWWA National at (303) 347-6202.
- How long after I mail in my application does it take to process membership?
It takes approximately four weeks for applications to be processed.
- What will I receive with my membership?
Once your application is processed from AWWA International, you will receive your AWWA New
Member Kit which includes:
- Membership Certificate
- Member wallet card
Additionally, you will receive a New Member Kit from the California-Nevada Section, which
includes:
- Membership Certificate
- Discount coupon for 25% off any Section event or product
- Latest issue of Source magazine
- Yearly calendar of Section events
- Registration information on current conferences, workshops or teleconferences.
