| The purpose of this committee is to achieve excellence in the delivery of service to
our external and internal customers, enhance employee professionalism through education
and training, and to promote a spirit of service in all aspects of the water utility
industry. The mission is to provide a vehicle by which we in the service arena could educate ourselves to meet our customers' changing expectations. Goals include promoting efficient and effective methods to serve our customers, promoting education, training and professionalism, and disseminating customer service information. Also the committee will promote the development and adoption of customer service industry standards, promote effective communication with our customers, encourage and promote diversity, promote effective use of technology and increase membership in AWWA.
