Emergency Planning Committee
The purpose of this committee is: (1) to encourage and assist wafer utilities and businesses supporting water utilities to improve and accelerate advance planning for major emergencies; (2) to cooperate with government and private industry operations amenable to pre-planning and exercise of emergency response plans; (3) to arrange for educational and local assistance programs focusing on emergency planning; and (4) to coordinate Section and Division activities related to emergency planning.

The EPC works to maintain on-going liaison efforts with the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency, State of California Office of Emergency Services, the Utility Policy Committee of California, and local government and private industry in both California and Nevada. This committee reports to the Operations and Maintenance Division.
