Coalition of Accredited Laboratories Founding Conference

This is a working conference and contact hours are not available.

Free to attend.

Coalition of Accredited Laboratories was formed because laboratories were facing a variety of problems with ELAP accreditation.  Problems were related to:
  • issuing correct accreditation certificates
  • performance testing results not being accepted for arbitrary reasons
  • late on-site assessments (OSAs)
  • lack of response from ELAP when questions arise
New proposed regulations will exacerbate this situation.  CAL laboratories can now collectively address current and future lab accreditation concerns as they arise.  CAL membership is open to all California accredited laboratories and other concerned parties.  We will seek to work with state regulatory agencies to make the laboratory accreditation process more productive and effective.

Mission Statement:
To advocate for and provide technical assistance to California accredited laboratories.

Core Principles:
  1. Safeguarding public health and the environment
  2. Bridging the gap between regulatory agencies and accredited laboratories
  3. Providing education, training and outreach
Audience:
California ELAP-certified laboratory personnel and other interested parties.

Objective:
To host founding Conference of CAL.  This is a working conference open to members to discuss goals and future direction of CAL along with voting items for this 501c6 nonprofit organization.
