Continuing Education Units:
3.6 CEUs.  Completion with Grade C or better and attendance of at least 36 hours.

Suggested Prerequisites:
HS Diploma and/or GED and some basic math skills.

Description:
This 40-hour course provides a comprehensive introduction to water and related distribution systems for Water Distribution Operators at the small system operator and apprenticeship levels and those desiring to secure employment as a water distribution operator.  Participants learn key concepts and terms in topic areas including:
  • Water sources and regulations
  • Wells and pumps
  • Water pressure and head
  • Water and power
  • Instrumentation and controls
  • Water distribution system operation
The essentials of water mathematics are introduced throughout the course to increase your skill in using formulas and conversion factors on the job.

This course is Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Earn 3.6 CEUs.
